Definition
Campus Placement is the program conducted within colleges / educational institutes or in a common place to provide jobs to final year students or in the stage of completing the colleges. In this programme, companies visit the colleges to select students depending on their capability to work.
Objective
The most important objective of Campus Placement is to classify the capable & qualified student before they complete not understand the significance of placement training that is being taught, whether it is a talent training or soft skills. They show very little attention in this due to numerous factors viz., assignments, projects or more of activities loaded by the college’s university as part of their syllabus, thinking that it is not valuable. It is the duty of the Career Placements team to make the college students furnished on all features of career development along with creating a very good impression in them which makes the student feel every minute they spend in the Career Placement training session is of great value being there & will help them in getting employed in their dream organizations.
Procedure
Pre-Placement Talk
A demonstration about the firm will be made during the pre-placement talk. Basically the demonstration contains the info like selection process, firm’s milestones, achievements, the hierarchy level, salary and employment benefits.
Educational qualification
Educational Qualification criteria include marks range. Basically firm go for specific professional like MBA, MCA to recruit those student because their qualification suitable for their criteria.
Written Test
Qualified students will undergo an aptitude test, but depending on company & the position looking for, the difficulty level of the written test may be at the greater side.
Group discussion
Most of the firms will have this round as a candidate filtering round. A common subject is placed before the group & a formal conversation or knowledge sharing is predictable by the judge.
Technical Interview
Once the above round is cleared then the students will further undergo a technical round. This round evaluates the technical skill of the student.
Formal interview
Final round of the selection procedure, where the student’s constancy & his confidence level towards the particular job will be evaluated. The interview focuses on overall character of the student.
Post-Placement Talk
Once the student is carefully chosen, he/she will be given an offer letter. Company’s management may provide rules about joining process and other basics if needed.
