DR. SARITA NAGPAL

Dr. Sarita Nagpal Deputy Director General at Confederation of Indian Industry New Delhi Area, India Nonprofit Organization Management) 1989 – Present (24 years) Graduated in Physicss from IIT Delhi in 1976 and followed up her graduation with a Ph.D in 1982 in Electrical Engineering. She taught at Pune Engineering College in the Department of Instrumentation and Control for a year. She then joined Schlumberger in Dubai where she worked as a Log Analyst till 1986. On returning to India, she taught Physics at St. Xavier\’s College for a year before joining CII in October 1989. From 1989 till 2006, Sarita Nagpal has been involved with the Quality Movement in the apex business association, CII and contributed to setting up CIIs first centre of Excellence on Quality. Since 2004, she has helped in setting up the Visionary Leaders for Manufacturing Programme, a flagship programme under the aegis of an India-Japan cooperation to benefit Manufacturing & SMEs. Under her guidance the cluster movement of CII grew from 1992 onwards which has become one of the flagship SME services.
